At SENZOMATIC, we support sustainable construction by helping owners, developers, architects, insurers, and other stakeholders manage the risk of moisture and mold damage in wooden buildings.
Our technology combines hardware sensors and software to monitor and predict risks in construction. We’re now looking to expand out data team and we are looking for a Data Engineer who will not only help us process and analyze sensor data, but also take ownership of algorithm development and lead external contributors in this area.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a startup environment: proactive, technically strong, and ready to take responsibility for getting our data and algorithms into production.
What you’ll be doing
- Designing and managing data pipelines for sensor data (primarily time-series)
- Preparing infrastructure for production deployment of ML algorithms
- Coordinating and leading external contributors working on algorithm development
- Collaborating with software engineers (our stack: Ruby & Ruby on Rails) to integrate ML solutions into the product
- Keeping up with ML/AI innovations and applying relevant approaches to our domain
- Ensuring scalability, reliability, and interpretability of deployed models
What you’ll need
- Solid experience in Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, etc.)
- Strong background in data engineering and working with time-series data
- Knowledge of containerization (e.g. Docker)
- Experience with leading projects or coordinating a small team
- Ability to design production-ready solutions and ensure their smooth integration
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Ruby / Ruby on Rails (advantage for faster integrations)
- Experience with processing physical measurements in time-series
- Familiarity with Prometheus, InfluxDB, VictoriaMetrics
- Experience with computer vision / image processing using ML/AI
- Previous work with IoT data or sensor platforms
- Living in Prague or willing to relocate
