At SENZOMATIC, we support sustainable construction by helping owners, developers, architects, insurers, and other stakeholders manage the risk of moisture and mold damage in wooden buildings.

Our technology is built on a combination of sensors, data collection, and software. To take our product to the next level, we’re looking for an experienced hardware leader who can own the development of our sensor devices from concept to production. You’ll be the key person driving our hardware roadmap, working closely with our software team, external suppliers, and manufacturing partners.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both hands-on prototyping and high-level strategic thinking. You’ll be setting the technical direction, ensuring reliability and scalability, and building up a small but strong hardware team as we grow.

What you’ll be doing:

• Taking ownership of the full hardware development lifecycle – from design and prototyping to testing and production
• Defining and driving our hardware roadmap in alignment with business and product goals
• Collaborating with software engineers to ensure seamless integration of sensor devices and platform
• Managing relationships with external suppliers, prototyping labs, and manufacturing partners
• Setting up and overseeing quality control processes, certifications, and testing standards
• Staying up to date on sensor technologies and identifying opportunities for innovation while continuing to dive our tech leadership
• managing the intern team and managing the external support
• Translating complex technical issues into clear explanations for non-technical stakeholders
• Managing the overall budget with SW rollout
• Stakeholders responsibility for project against delivery

What you’ll need:

• Solid track record in hardware development (ideally in IoT, sensors, or related areas)
• Experience taking hardware products from concept form, prototype to market-ready production
• Strong knowledge of electronics design, embedded systems, and testing methodologies
• Confidence in working with external partners (manufacturers, suppliers)
• Ability to balance hands-on engineering work with strategic planning
• Curiosity and proactive mindset – willing to experiment, test, and iterate
• Living in Prague (or willing to relocate) – this is a hybrid role, ideally 2–3x/week in our office
• Strong project management and reporting skills

Nice to have:

• Previous leadership experience (team lead, project lead, or similar)
• Familiarity with low-power wireless technologies (LoRa, NB-IoT, BLE)
• Experience with environmental or construction-related sensors
• Passion for sustainability, green tech, or smart buildings
